My name is Cara and for a long time, I felt like I was living a double life. There was my “worldy” life: studying, playing the harp, hanging out with friends, and then there was my “Catholic” life. They felt like two separate folders on a computer that never touched.
Growing up Catholic, I loved my faith, but I didn’t always know how to bring it with me when I stepped out of the church doors. I started The Catholic Edition because I realized I didn’t want to live in two different worlds anymore; I wanted to bring Christ with me wherever I went.
When I’m not writing, you can find me studying, at my harp, working on my latest crochet project, or trying to find the “Catholic Edition” of everyday moments.

The Catholic Edition is a space dedicated to exploring what it means to live a life of faith in a world that never seems to slow down. Whether you’ve been in the pews since birth or you’re just standing at the door looking in, this blog is a collection of reflections, traditions, and the “editions” of daily life that shape who we are.
For too long, we’ve been told that your “worldly” lives and our “spiritual” lives belong in different boxes. We believe that God is present in the classroom, the home, the board meeting, and everywhere in between.
Our goal is to help you stop living a divided life and start seeing every moment as an opportunity to live in God’s world and to look at modern culture through “Catholic glasses”, finding the beauty, truth, and goodness hidden in the secular noise
